Lydia Lunch & Rowland S. Howard - Shotgun Wedding

This had to be somekind of a jewish tricky manipulation, that I've never had a chance to listen to this album until yesterday. I'll sue the whole fucking Israel for years of preventing me from checking out "Shotgun Wedding". This is pure awesomeness. So different from another works of Lydia Lunch (one of the pioneers of this no wave music movement. If you're not familiar with her works I don't blame you. Now go and blame the jews). Thanks to collaboration with legendary Rowland S. Howard (former member of Nick Cave's The Birthday Party) you won't hear any experiments here. More "back to the roots sound". Lot's of 70's rock music, post-punk/new wave and early goth rock influences. I would say this is a bit grungy too, however I'm allergic to this word so let's say this album kinda reminds me of Sonic Youth sound at the beginning of 90's. Dark, nihilistic, homoerotic and thrilling album. The drum pattern in "Black Juju" song gave me steel hard erection which ended up with a jizzing up the place. Certainly worth checking. Unless you're a little kosher rat victim. Then turn around, go and cum all over your coldplay's booklets.

Powrót do korzeni gitarowego grania.

The Third Eye Foundation - The Dark

I've completely forgotten about Matt Elliot's, The Third Eye Foundation project and oh my fucking god - now that's called a great and unexpected return. Maybe I will describe "The Dark" later, maybe not. This is a conceptual small masterpiece. Imagine Aphex Twin gangbanged by a whole orchestra in the middle of ambient electronic wasteland. Check it.

Male Bonding - Nothing Hurts

Twenty-eight minutes of pure noise-pop bliss can best describe Male Bonding’s first full length album Nothing Hurts. Nothing Hurts is filled with fast tempos, catchy riffs, and loud abrasive in-your-face sound. This album may not set Male Bonding apart from typical noise-pop bands such as Dinosaur Jr., The Pixies, or Xiu Xiu, but it does show case their talent. It is within their use of percussion to create a metallic sound, their shredding guitars, and thick baselines Male Bonding gave to the listener’s ears a frantic ride as they play each track. If you wish to experience an energetic, slightly spastic record – lend Nothing Hurts a play and in no time you will have it on repeat.

Must listen to track: “T.U.F.F.”

Ellen Allien & Apparat - Orchestra Of Bubbles

I can't say that I have too much time on my hands to write a detailed review about this unique electronic gem, I've been listening to lately. Besides that, some retard made me write multilingual album descriptions, both in English and Polish. Enough with excuses. What we have here is an uncommon fusion of techno ( minimal at some parts ) and warm IDM produced by the German duo - Ellen Aillen and well known IDM artist Apparat. "Orchestra Of Bubbles" is the result of their effors. The work of those two artists seems to overlap and fit perfectly. It also sounds as they've both managed to expand their own borders creating something out of ordinary. Catchy, relaxing, nice and will make you wanna fondle your neighbour's fluffy (as this music) sheep. Honestly recommended.

No i miał kurwa rację! Kompletnym zaskoczeniem są tu dla mnie gitarowe riffy w "Way Out" czy smyczki w "Leave Me Alone".

Eraldo Bernocchi / Blackfilm - Along The Corridors

UK's downtempo producer Blackfilm in collaboration with Italy's dub serial ear-rapist Eraldo Bernocchi, reminded me, how electronic music can put a lot of FUCK into your head. This album is a transmition belt leading to disturbing, sanity erasing feelings of desolation, fear and utter loneliness. Listening session with "Along The Corridors" made me visualize a nightmarish, impressionistic trip through the cold ruins of post-apocalyptic urban Moloch. Every track here is an unsteady step forward. Unsettingly echoing throught the next 50 streets, while human shadows carved with nuclear explosion, stare at you from the walls of the rundown buildings. So... if this two gentelemen's new baby kicked my imagination so hard, it can't be bad. Well, actually, this is a premium piece of cinematic dark ambient (that could be a proper soundtrack to a noir horror movie), combined with oldschool dub, fat bass lines and live jazzy drums. Eraldo's participation gave the album more driving force and energy compared to Blackfilm's debut.
Disturbing as Hecq's "Night Falls", somehow sick as SCORN's works (but not as minimalistic) and mesmerizingly nostalgic as Burial. I can imagine how this perfectly works as a personal soundtrack to an interior film, while taking a walk through abandoned industrial city district. Definitely a right tool for choking your stereo's cd drawer and fucking with your counciousness. Good luck.
